Our Story

Studio Background

 Raymore Art Studio Co-op is a community of artists and students working side-by-side in a friendly environment that encourages and inspires artistic growth. We believe everyone has an artist inside them, looking to express himself and we want to help you find your artistic voice. Each and every one of our artists has experience in the studio and in the classroom meaning you get not only teachers with great art technique, but also great teaching technique too. Studio rentals and educational programs are also available upon request with prior reservation. Please get in touch today to learn more about our offerings.

Meet Our Staff

Sharon

Teacher of Home School, Private school and Public Schools. Accredited. 


Sharon Jeffus has a B.S.S.E. in Art Education from John Brown
University and continued on in her studies to be certified to teach
English from the University of Arkansas. She studied painting at
Metropolitan in Denver and sculpting at Southern Illinois University.
She has written over twenty books  including Teaching Geography
through Art and has the internationally known company Visual Manna.
Sharon wrote her first book in 1992 and developed the Visual Manna
teaching method where art is integrated with art appreciation,
techniques, vocabulary and core subjects. She has also written an
Indian Arts and Crafts program that was rated outstanding by the
Bureau of Indian Affairs. Sharon taught in the public schools in
Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri.   Sharon also taught Intensive
English as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Missouri-Rolla and
has given presentations on teaching art to college classes including
Azusa Pacific University and Columbia College and the Audubon Society.
She has three AP courses that have been approved to teach. Sharon
developed and presented workshops in coordination with Wonders of
Wildlife Museum and Bass Pro on art and science. Her books are
available in ebook form and at Rainbow Resources that has free videos
of her lessons.

Jacoba- Owner

Principle and Teacher

Meet Jacoba, the visionary force steering our Art Studio as both owner and Principal of the School. Devoted to unlocking the potential within each individual, she specializes in Epoxy art, Acrylic arts, Paint pouring, Construction, and Business Development. With a rich artistic journey spanning 40 years, Jacoba excels in children's designs and cartoon art, Her resume ranges everywhere from wedding and event cake decorating, graphics marketing design, large wall murals to tiny face painting. Jacoba owns several businesses that create jobs for artists and is the CEO of Christian Soldier Ministries International, which assists Christians around the world in discovering who God made them to be and working a job in their gifts and Talents. Beyond her successful ventures supporting artists, she shares her expertise in corporate team building experiences, senior and special needs art therapy and public speaker for both business development and Positive Motivational Speaker. Immerse yourself in a fulfilling artistic experience, guided by Jacoba's dedication to inclusivity and creative exploration.
