About the event
Cover all your art needs in three days. You receive two days of hands on studio lessons on techniques in
a variety of media, the elements and principles of art training, art history included in every finished
product in each of the six projects created daily. You receive access to an online course for the semester
that has extensive training in a variety of media and PDFs of Sharon’s Master Drawing and large Visual
Manna Art Curriculum. Class is from 9:00 to 3:00 at the beautiful Raymore Art Studio and the third day
is at the Nelson Art Museum. Families are welcome to come.
The goal of this series of lessons is for students to understand media, techniques and processes in art. Students will study master artists throughout history and see how visually, spatially, and functionally art is related to culture and history. Students will learn how to analyze a work of art. They will understand how to assess the merits of their own work. Students will look at the connection between the visual arts and other disciplines.
This art intensive class will be taught from a christian perspective. There are 3 components to this class; art history, elements and principles of art, and techniques in media. Powerpoints are introduced with the elements of art and principles of art and projects that reinforce learning art techniques are given.
Please bring your own packed lunch. Please no peanut products.
Total for all 3 days of class is $150.
Tickets are $50 per day for each student. You will need to sign up for each day to ensure you have purchased all 3 days.
Field trip details will be provided. We are not providing a bus, students will car pool or you are welcome to volunteer as well to help bring the children to the Nelson Art Gallery.
